WHAT DO THE LED LIGHTS ON MY SKYBELL DEVICE MEAN?

During the Sync Process:
    Yellow/Light Green (Rapid Flash): Device is entering sync ready mode.  
    Red/Green (Alternating): Device is in AP Mode. In order to sync, the SkyBell must be flashing this color. When the SkyBell is flashing red/green you will find it within the list of available networks on the mobile device’s WiFi settings.
    Orange (Double Flash): Attempting a WiFi connection: during the Sync process. SkyBell is attempting to Authenticate with Wi-Fi. Encryption type will be checkedIf the SkyBell is OFFLINE and needs to be resynced, follow the steps provided below:

  • Press your SkyBell button in and hold it for about a minute. The LED will flash rapid green > red and green > blue > yellow.
  • Once you see the LED flash yellow, please release the SkyBell button. During this time, please delete your SkyBell device from within the SkyBell app. Now your SkyBell will be flashing red and green.
  • Select 'Add a SkyBell' in your app and follow the on-screen instructions to re-sync your device.

If you are syncing and the doorbell will not connect to the home network.

  • Verify the password you are using is correct (Forget the network within the WiFi settings and attempt to reconnect).
  • Ensure that the encryption type is WPA2.

If all requirements are met and the SkyBell still will not proceed past orange, you may need to attempt the advanced sync.
    Blue/Green (Alternating): The SkyBell is connected to the home network and attempting to successfully connect to our server.If the doorbell is stuck on Blue-Green:

  • Power Cycle the SkyBell, the modem, and router, and any extender/access point if applicable
  • Verify if a  firewall is configured properly
  • Check for Double NAT
  • Disable SIP ALG in Router (Typically Netgear)
  • Check for Flood Burst/TX Burst (Typically Arris Modem/Router combo)
  • Diable any Burst WiFi setting which will typically be A/B/G Networks

    Solid Green: Device is ready to use. This is the default LED color. The color can be changed within the application.
