SkyBell blinks red and blue continuously

The most common reasons for this to happen are:

  1. The SkyBell device is wired to a digital door chime without using a Digital Doorbell Adapter (DDA). See Chime section for more information.
  2. The transformer powering the doorbell system is not pushing out enough power to consistently charge the SkyBell. This condition can be ruled out by checking the voltage at the SkyBell location using a voltage meter. If the voltage is less than 10VAC, there is not enough power to charge the SkyBell device and keep it functioning properly. This situation is even more likely to occur if the transformer is over 15 years old. For a list of compatible transformers click here.
  3. The SkyBell device may not be wired securely. Check that the SkyBell is wired and connected correctly making sure that all wires in the entire doorbell system circuit are terminated tightly.
