Using an indoor chime:

1. If the SkyBell does not light up, press firmly against the face of the SkyBell just to the left of the doorbell button.
2. If the SkyBell does not light up, adjust the power prongs on the back of the SkyBell to get better contact with the power screws on the mount.
3. If the SkyBell does not light up, short the power screws using something metallic and verifies that the indoor chime rings.

If the chime testes good, then continue on to test power to other devices.

Determine if there is sufficient power to the SkyBell:

1. Locate the transformer that powers the doorbell system(Sometimes found in the attic, garage or in the wall behind the chime).
2. Record the transformers output specs(e.g. 16Vac 10va or 24vac 20va)
3. Use a voltmeter to check the current-voltage on the SkyBell mount.
4. If using a 16vac transformer, the voltage should read roughly 19vac, for a 24vac transformer, power should read over 28vac.
5. If minimum power is not available, the replacement of the transformer will be required.
